Splitting algorithms in channels with markovian capture

چکیده
In this paper we study the performance of tree-like splitting collision resolution algorithms in channels with markovian capture. In particular, we assume that in each slot the channel can be in one of two states { b (for \bad") and g (for \good"). When the channel is in state b, a capture can never occur. When the channel is in state g and n nodes (n 2) are transmitting, a capture occurs with probability n. The sequence of channel states is assumed to be a homogeneous Markov chain. We derive the throughput of a splitting tree-like multiple access algorithm for this channel. We also provide simulation results for the average delay.

Randomized Algorithm For 3-Set Splitting Problem and it's Markovian Model
In this paper we restrict every set splitting problem to the special case in which every set has just three elements. This restricted version is also NP-complete. Then, we introduce a general conversion from any set splitting problem to 3-set splitting. Then we introduce a randomize algorithm, and we use Markov chain model for run time complexity analysis of this algorithm. In the last section ...
متن کاملThroughput of Q-ary Splitting Algorithms for Contention Resolution in Communication Networks∗
The throughput characteristics of contention-based random access channels which use Q-ary splitting algorithms (where Q is the number of groups into which colliding users are split) are analyzed. The algorithms considered are of the Capetanakis-Tsybakov-Mikhailov-Vvedenskaya (CTMV) type and are studied for infinite populations of identical users generating packets according to a discrete time b...
متن کاملThree-Phase Modeling of Dynamic Kill in Gas-Condensate Well Using Advection Upstream Splitting Method Hybrid Scheme
Understanding and modeling of three-phase transient flow in gas-condensate wells play a vital role in designing and optimizing dynamic kill procedure of each well that needs to capture the discontinuities in density, geometry, and velocity of phases but also the effect of temperature on such parameters. In this study, two-phase Advection-Upstream-Splitting-Method (AUSMV) hybrid scheme is extend...
متن کاملDynamic Model of Per-User Service for Opportunistic Scheduling over Fading Channels
In this paper, we consider maximum rate opportunistic scheduling from a single wireless base station to multiple mobile users with Rayleigh fading channels. We propose a finitestate Markovian analytical model to capture the dynamics of a single user’s service, namely per-user service. The model is for a saturated scenario, where the base station always has buffered data for transmission. We dem...
متن کاملOn the Achievable Rate-Regions for the Gaussian Two-way Diamond Channels
In this channel,we study rate region of a Gaussian two-way diamond channel which operates in half-duplex mode. In this channel, two transceiver (TR) nodes exchange their messages with the help of two relay nodes. We consider a special case of the Gaussian two-way diamond channels which is called Compute-and-Forward Multiple Access Channel (CF-MAC). In the CF-MAC, the TR nodes transmit their mes...
